I was born and raised in the small town of Pocatello, Idaho where I am the youngest of seven children. At a young age, I began babysitting and knew I had a love for children. Babysitting grew to nannying and throughout high school and college I would nanny part time for several families while going to school. I had the chance to pursue my high school dreams of playing college basketball at the University of Great Falls, Montana. After graduating with a bachelors degree in sociology I was able to do what I love most and work with troubled youth as a detention officer. I did this at the Juvenile Detention Center and the after school program at the local Boys and Girls Club in Great Falls. After working with children in the criminal justice field I worked at the county jail in Phoenix, Arizona as a classification specialist. While there I would interview adult inmates that were booked into the facility. During these interviews I would evaluate their behaviors and criminal charges before placing them in the appropriate housing facility. Throughout the years, I always knew I loved everything about working with children. I love watching them grow and learn while caring for them. While working as a classification specialist I discovered that my true passion was to work with children. I then began nannying for several different families and continued as a nanny for many years before deciding to help others find excellent child care for their families.
